How user-friendly is the training of a Fairino cobot?

Fairino cobots, like other collaborative robots, are designed with ease of use as a priority. Through the intuitive web interface, points can be easily taught manually and programs can be created without programming knowledge. For experienced users and integrators, there are also extensive advanced features available. This makes both simple and very complex automation applications possible. Fairino is therefore suitable for both beginner users and professional integrators and machine builders.

What programming options does a Fairino cobot offer?

Fairino cobots can be programmed through the standard web interface with a clear “drag-and-drop” programming environment. For more advanced applications, Software Development Kits (SDKs) are available with support for C++, C#, Python, Java, ROS, and ROS2.

Which communication protocols does a Fairino cobot support?

In addition to SDK support, Fairino supports various communication protocols, including Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU, TCP/IP, socket communication, and digital I/O. With an optional expansion card, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, and CC-Link are also supported.

What is the difference between the IP54 and IP65 versions?

The IP65 version offers a higher level of protection against dust and water than the IP54 variant. Therefore, the IP65 version is suitable for environments with more moisture, water, or dust exposure. In terms of performance and functionality, both versions are identical.

What are the main differences between Fairino cobots and Universal Robots?

Fairino cobots offer comparable performance in terms of repeatability, precision, and programming structure to other established brands, including Universal Robots. A key differentiator of Fairino is the price-quality ratio: similar performance is offered at a significantly lower investment. As a result, Fairino is the brand we recommend for 99% of applications.

Is a teach pendant necessary for using a Fairino cobot?

The teach pendant is an optional accessory and not necessary for using the cobot. The robot can be fully controlled via the web interface on a computer or laptop with an internet browser. The teach pendant offers the advantage of being a robust, industrial device that is better suited to harsh environments. Functionally, there are no differences; the interface is identical to that on a computer.

Are all necessary components included as standard with the purchase?

Yes, all essential components such as the robotic arm, control box, and safety box are included as standard. For programming, only a computer or laptop is needed, or optionally a teach pendant.

Are all accessories from our catalog compatible with Fairino cobots?
What is the cable length between the cobot and the controller?

The standard cable length between the robotic arm and the control box is 4 meters. An optional extension cable of 11 meters is available, making the total length 15 meters. This extension cable is not included as standard.
